On October 22nd while Kyleigh was at Cold Springs, we took the mobile bar and headed over to P. Allen Smith’s Moss Mountain Farm to celebrate with Mallory & Josh. Everything about this wedding was beautiful from the couple and their guests to the setup down to the mountain views- every part was absolutely stunning.
The Venue
This was our first time to serve at Moss Mountain, but we knew that it was going to be beautiful! P. Allen Smith’s Moss Mountain Farm is ”an epicenter for promoting the local food movement, organic gardening, and the preservation of heritage poultry breeds.” The New York Times refers to it as ”a stunning estate overlooking the Arkansas River.” It is also home to a maximum of only 15 weddings per year with 4 ceremony venues and 4 reception venues to offer couples.
The Setup and Menu
For this wedding, we brought both the Pop Up Bar and the mobile bar! We set up the Pop Up Bar near the front steps of the house where guests would go for the cocktail hour! The mobile bar was set up near the main tent (located directly outside of The Grange Hall). After the cocktail hour, guests moved to the tent for dinner and the party (or should we say Pardee!) Guests had a choice of 4 local brews from Lost Forty and Flyway- Lil Wheezy, 2nd Rodeo, Bluewing, and Love Honey Bock. There was also a great selection of wine including 2 reds (Pinot Noir and a Bordeaux Blend) and 2 whites (Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay).
The Team
As always, a great wedding is full of great vendors! Perception by Anna Dickinson (with Junior Planner Kristen Cromley) was responsible for planning/coordinating the beautiful event. Live music during the cocktail hour was provided by Sarah Cecil (ABSOLUTELY AMAZING)! DJ Xavier with Premiere Event Group provided the music for the reception, and catering was provided by Heritage Catering. The rentals were from Eventology, and florals were done by Tanarah Luxe! Korry Jones (Watercolors by Korry) was also at the farm doing some amazing artwork.
