Have you seen the latest wedding trends for 2022? Bright colors, hanging florals, and specialty bars (like ours!). Details and color that boost the mood of your guests (inspired by dopamine dressing)! But what about your bar? Your cocktails? What are the latest trends in wedding bar menus? We have compiled a list of some of the top trends to emerge this wedding season and a few of our personal favorites.
Personalization
The Wedding Wire has personalization has one of the top wedding cocktail trends of 2022. Couples have found that their bar menu is just another great place to incorporate part of their life, personality, or family. From favorite flavors to unique drink names, the options are endless when it comes to personalizing your bar experience. At Toasts in Tow, we love to create custom cocktails using the couple’s favorite spirits and flavors. We also love a uniquely named cocktail to add a extra fun to the drink menu!
Mocktails
Mocktails could be a huge part of bar menus this upcoming year. No alcohol doesn’t mean no fun. Emerging brands like Ritual Alternative Spirits make mocktails easy and fun. Mocktails are even predicted to make the menu as Signature Cocktails this upcoming year. With flavor packed drinks like mojitos and margaritas (using an alternative, non-alcoholic tequila), guests will still be able to enjoy delicious drinks without the alcohol.
Gin
We have to admit, over here at Toasts in Tow, we have recently become huge fans of gin. It is a versatile liquor that can mix well with a variety of flavors. We recently posted a St. Germain Sparkler that tasted amazing and was a beautiful blush color — perfect for Spring and Summer weddings. Bride.com recently did a blog of their favorite cocktail recipes for 2022, and 3 of their recipes included gin!
Unique Garnish and Drink “Extras”
People obsessed with the perfect picture and instagram-able moment…..so gone are the days of lemon and lime wedge garnish! This next year you are sure to see more unique garnish options like dehydrated fruits, blueberries, peel twists, edible glitter, and flowers. We should also expect to see customized drink stirrers or drink labels that also serve as seat markers or show a seating arrangement. When possible, you might even see sphere shaped ice cubes along with other unique and decorative shapes.
